Energy leader, EMA chooses Comwerks Interactive

Singapore, 6 July 2009:- Newly revamped website will be used as a platform to publicise initiatives, consult on energy-related issues and to share information. Leading digital agency Comwerks Interactive (www.comwerks.com) has been selected to revamp the main website of Energy Market Authority (EMA). The project was awarded to Comwerks after a tender process that featured 12 other renowned digital interactive agencies from Singapore. The new website that is slated to be launched in two phases will focus on leveraging EMA as a versatile platform to introduce and publicise initiatives, consult on energy-related issues and to share and disseminate information. Comwerks will be partnering with EMA to deliver an across-the-board web strategy for its target audience who consist of the general public and energy industry players. “EMA has a bigger role to play in Energy Innovation & Conservation. We will use social media to reach out and engage the younger generation” said Neeraj Sundarajoo, Account Director of Comwerks Interactive. EMA promotes competition in the electricity and piped gas industry and maintains the security and reliability of the power system. Formed on 1 April 2001, EMA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry that regulates the electricity and gas industry and district cooling services in designated areas.
