The two speakers were Dr.Nirmala Shetty of the Nirmal Herbal Clinic for Hair and Skin and Hair Spa and Dr Sameer Kharkhanis, founder of Centre for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Thane. During the seminar, the two esteemed guests awarded certificates to the graduating students of LTA. A unique blend of ancient tradition and modern technology Dr Nirmala Shetty spoke about the immense resources Nature has blessed us with, which one can use for self rejuvenation. She shared her own success story about transitioning from an 18-year career in the administrative sector to following her heart and pursuing the aim of beautify people with natural products. She emphasized the importance of placing clients’ concerns as topmost priority with no scope for any shortcomings. Her speech left each one inspired and conveyed that it’s never too late to start! Dr Sameer Kharkhanis, on the other hand, spoke about Body Contouring. His talk with the aid of pictures made things very simple to understand. Concepts like liposuction, tummy tuck which people had just heard about but didn’t quite understand were explained in depth. Safety and personal attention were brought out as core aspects in these treatments. Dr Sameer brought about the important fact that these treatments are not weight loss procedures and that they are not substitutes for healthy diet and exercise. The question and answer session that followed helped in dispelling several myths and misconceptions and contributed a wealth of information to the audience. Subsequently, Ms. Vaishali Shah, Director of LTA enlightened people about the career opportunities in the field of aesthetics in a very interactive forum. She encouraged people in the audience to strive to reach a higher position by polishing their skills in this field.
